About Us

History:

Labels Unlimited was incorporated and began operation as a flexographic printing company in January 1979. The company was founded by a Virginia Beach, Virginia businessman at a time when flexography was just emerging as a new printing technology. This technology was unique in that print media was roll form pressure sensitive versus traditional non adhesive sheet. His focus was on providing labels to the food industry.

The company's first location was a 1,500 square foot leased facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and started operation with one employee who had offset printing experience. Equipment included a Mark Andy 820 printing press, a tabletop rewinder and a Dupont platemaking system. For the first six months the company had one customer.

In 1990, under new ownership, the company benefited from steady expansion throughout the 1990's, growing to approximately 100 employees and operating from a 40,000 square foot facility. The customer base now extends from Massachusetts to Florida.

Labels Unlimited growth has come about by its efforts to be a leader in the manufacture of pressure sensitive labels and tags. The company has grown by its philosophy of being "user friendly" to its customers.
